Modavox Government Broadcasting Applications Bring Federal, State, and Foreign Government Content to the Desktop

Phoenix, AZ (PRWeb) November 27, 2006 -- Modavox, Inc. (OTCBB: MDVX ) Internet broadcasting pioneer in producing and syndicating online audio and video, today announced it now maintains AudioEye enabled sites for the State of Arizona Legislature (www.azleg.gov), Congressman JD Hayworth of Arizona’s 5th Congressional district (www.house.gov/hayworth), and Jim Dinning, a candidate for Premier of Alberta, Canada (www.jimdinning.ca). AudioEye extends the reach of these government and campaign communications via the web, mobile phones, and other devices for all people with a special emphasis on those that have physical, learning, or visual impairment as well as internet novices such as seniors and non-English readers.

Modavox’s patent pending AudioEye technology allows customers to address federal legislation referred to as "Section 508", an amendment to the Workforce Rehabilitation Act of 1973. Section 508 requires that electronic and information technology that is developed or purchased by the Federal Government be accessible by people with disabilities. The AudioEye media player meets the standards and performance criteria for web delivered software detailed in the regulations of Section 508.

Nathaniel Bradley, Modavox VP of Business Development & Strategic Marketing stated, “AudioEye, when used by our clients for distribution of web content or documents, is delivering a product that meets federal accessibility standards; as well as allowing our clients to meet the functional performance criteria and information, documentation, and support requirements listed in Section 508. Congressmen JD Hayworth took a leadership role in implementing AudioEye on his congressional website over a year ago, even taking the time to record his own voice for a large majority of his website. Although Mr. Hayworth is leaving his office in January, he has already provided the catalyst for other early adopters of AudioEye in the US Congress.”

Modavox has also utilized its patented BoomBox Video delivery system for the Arizona State Legislature, providing live proceedings broadcast via the web for the House, Senate, and hearing rooms from the State Capital, including on-demand broadcast of the “Legislative Weekly”. Modavox also provided live and on-demand access to New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson’s 2006 State of the State Address and Arizona’s Corporation Commission Debates this past election cycle.

David Ide, Modavox CEO commented, “We believe that we have established a solid foundation for continued government application sales in our growing Interactive Division. Interactive solutions from Modavox provide federal, state, and local governments the unique ability to more efficiently communicate with their constituents.”
