Privasoft Now Operating at Key Government Institution, Crown Corporations
Ottawa, ON (PRWEB) September 6, 2007 -- Privasoft, a global leader in case management software and services for managing Access to Information and Privacy (ATIP) processes, today announced that it has been awarded key contracts for its AccessPro Suite with the Canadian Wheat Board, Canada Post and the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC).
Under the Federal Accountability Act, September 1, 2007 was the deadline for an expanded list of government institutions and Crown Corporations to become subject to the Access to Information and Privacy Acts. The Canadian Wheat Board was subject to an earlier date of April 1 of the same year.
The Canadian Wheat Board, Canada Post and the CBC demonstrated significant commitment and leadership by proactively ensuring they were adequately equipped to comply with the Act. This included choosing to engage Privasoft during the spring of 2007 to make certain they were ready for the September 1 date. Working with Privasoft, they were able to implement the systems and processes required to support their ATIP operations in advance of their respective deadlines.
They each purchased solutions from the Privasoft AccessPro Suite, which was purpose-designed to help to improve workflow efficiency and reduce backlog related to responding to requests for information. AccessPro Case Management has been deployed to streamline the process by allowing users to log, track and manage the lifecycle of a request electronically. AccessPro Redaction allows users to sever sensitive content and publish electronic release packages while tracking decisions for future auditing.
